Minerva Park - On the North East Side
On Columbus’s North East side, there is one residential area that doesn't look or feel like any of the surrounding neighborhoods, and definitely isn’t “cookie-cutter”. What started off as an amusement park and casino was short lived and was shut down in 1902. Construction began on the subdivision in 1927, and to preserve the neighborhood’s character home owners incorporated as a village. As a result, the small lake enjoyed by swimmers and boaters over a century ago remains in Minerva Park today.
